Best Place to Buy A Dwarf Retic
Where is the best place to buy a dwarf retic? I'm interested in getting one, and I'm not interested in getting scammed into a full size retic.
Thanks!

A couple questions come to mind:
- Do you know what type of Dwarf your looking for?
- Do you have a price range you are willing to pay?
- Are you willing to wait to get the dwarf if you can't find the one you want right away?
This is an area that I'm familiar with cause I tend to like the Dwarf Tics and have many in my collection. Off the top of my head I would say for Dwarf Tiger or Dwarf Genetic Stripes, Steve Gooch has some for sale...Very well priced, great guy and trusted genetics...Also, Greg Bryant from The Retic Ranch has a pair of Dwarfs het Albino up for sale...Like Steve, well priced, super great guy and trusted genetics...I have Dwarfs from both of them and couldn't be happier!!!!
Those are the ones off the top of my head that have some Dwarfs up for sale right now...Fauna and KS can be iffy, if you don't know who's selling or the genetics, but if you are motivated by $$, go for it and roll the dice...

I'm almost positive NERD had some upstairs on my last trip...but don't take me word for it.

I'm new to retics, thus the dwarf. So I don't know much about morphs for retics. I like the "normal", but I don't know if it is available in dwarf. I'm looking to spend too much, under 500 preferably. And I'm willing to wait.

Hmmm...We'll then with that price range, to purchase one...I'd got with Greg and The Retic Ranch...His normal het albino's are great and in your price range...Also, down the road you can breed and then get visuals...The main reason I'm also pointing your in his direction is cause he has great customer service and will always answer your questions...
Now, the part about being new to tics...I'd do your research and read through some of the threads...Just cause they are classified as dwarfs doesn't mean they are smaller in essence. Yes, instead of getting 12 - 17 feet, they will stay around 8 - 10 feet depending on the morph and genetics...But they still have the tic feeding response and a bite from an 8'er is nothing to sneeze about I got wrapped by my 8' Dwarf Purple last month...And it was an interesting experience, but I'm also a little Sherman Tank at 195 lbs and was prepared for it for the most part cause I knew he was in a pissy mood...
I'm not discouraging but encouraging the preparation because in the end the only one that suffers is the snake...Little tics are cute and easy to manage, but as they get bigger some people tend to hold them less because they are worried about getting bit or their reaction...That isn't good because you'll just let him/her get bigger and possibly less tame from lack of handling and then you'll get more timid as they get bigger...I hope that makes sense...
I love my Dwarfs and will be breeding a ton over the next couple of years...Free free to reach out if you have any questions, my limited knowledge is at your disposal..LOL

Im not sure but i think Wilbanks works with Dwarfs(jampeas) and super dwarfs. So does Bob Clark. If you dont want a giant then buy from known source who will guarantee genetics.
Big difference from Dwarf to super dwarf

Hmm. Well if you're interested in selling some of what you breed I may be interested in buying from you. In the mean time that would allow me to learn a lot more about retics and possibly get some experience.
Obviously, if I haven't gotten something sooner and if you're comfortable with selling to someone who is getting their first retic.

Very true there...SD to Dwarf to Mainland are different in size and temperament too...Mike's Tics are now with Bob (heard from Bob, Mike and Jeff) and I think Mike is dealing mainly with BP's now...He might have a Dwarf Purple or Dwarf Lavender around, but those will set you back a PRETTY penny...
As long as you buy from a reputable breeder, you'll get the genetic guarantees. But you'll get a customer service aspect that the big guy can't offer...

nothing like buying a dwarf and getting a giant or a super dwarf and end up with a 15ft beast.

Or a male when you expect a female...A big breeder out there has a HUGE reputation for that...
And Jampeas don't mean Dwarf size feet-wise anymore...
