    Breeding Fees... How much?
So if I wanted to pair my female normal with a friends make albino, what would be a resonable breeding fee? With dogs I know its usually a fee or pick of the litter. Is it the same for snakes? I would keep my female with me and bring his male over and I would be the one incubating the eggs and taking care of everyone till they hatch and then till they are ready to go to new homes. He was thinking of splitting the offspring, but I feel like thats quite a lot for me to give up since I would be the one doing all the work and care. Any thoughts or advise on this?

Because an albino male is worth more than a normal female, I can understand that he wants to split the clutch. However, it would probably be a much better idea to just breed your own snakes. Breeding loans are complicated, and can very easily end badly. I personally think its too much risk for a clutch of het albinos.

Splitting the clutch would be fair, as he is the one with the albino. You are aware that you will only make 100% het. albinos, right? If you wanted a cash deal, I would think $75-$100 would be fair as a breeder loan. And last but not least, you could let him have pick of the litter as they will all be normals het. albino.

Since his albino is worth more but you are doing the work and the incubating etc in my opinion it would be a fair 50-50 split with a toss of the coin for first pick.

I agree. The value of his snake and your work kind of balance out, in a way, so splitting the offspring would seem more fair to me.

While I agree they can end badly, doing a low end project like this might be a great way to better things down the road if it does go well.
I'd much rather learn my partner wasn't what I expected, with a clutch like that than with a clutch that is much more valuable.

Standard breeding loans are splits of the clutch, with the person with more valuable animal getting the extra animal if there is an un-even number of babies.

I would find a dom or co dom to breed to your snake. You don't to ruin a good friendship if things go bad for just some hets!
