Whats up with my Irian Jayas skin
Hello all I am new here and I just purchased a Irian Jaya Carpet Python last Saturday at a reptile expo and everything looked great. Now I have noticed some spots on his skin and am curious to what they are and if I should be concerned. This is my first Carpet Python and absolutely love him and want to make sure I do everything right. Here are a few pics and you can see the spots I'm referring to especially in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pics. All comments are greatly appreciated.

Re: Whats up with my Irian Jayas skin
Looks like stuck shed and/or a few lost scales... I'd wait until the next shed, and see if it clears up then. Maybe a quick (supervised) soak in the meantime wouldn't hurt? Pretty snake! :)
Re: Whats up with my Irian Jayas skin
It's also possible he's starting a shed, and the humidity isn't quite high enough... remember, they do like it more humid than Ball Pythons! I keep a large water dish in my JCP's tub, and allow a little condensation to sit in the corner - he hasn't had a bad shed yet. :gj:
Re: Whats up with my Irian Jayas skin
Are those small lumps or bumps? If so, get him to a vet ASAP. It could be anything from blister disease to subcutaneous parasites.
Re: Whats up with my Irian Jayas skin
Hm, from what I can see it looks to be different problems.
At least some of it is simply just stuck shed on a few scales. But are there bumps under the skin ? That isn't good...
That would be a guessing game, like someone said, could be parasites, blisters, perhaps even old rodent bites that got infected under the skin? (abscesses)
If my snake, I would take it to a vet, rather then wait and see...
