Re: Feeder Size Question?
usually you want to feed a prey that is the same size as the roundest part of the snake. i fed my ball a small adult mouse and she is a about a foot and half long. she took it easily but the mouse was a lil bigger then the roundest part of her body. they will suprise you, she suprised me today i was expecting her not to eat it cuz i thought it was too big. but if the mouse is bigger then the widest part of the snake it could break her ribs

I just got them over last weekend and monday i fed them each a Hopper Mouse but the 2 bigger ones seemed to take the hoppers pretty easy. I think they could take a small mouse (15-20g) but still a little unsure. The little girl seemed to play with the hopper a bit before eating so i might stick with them till shes over 100g. What does everyone think?
You should be fine with a small adult mouse
Re: Feeder Size Question?
I would keep the 80gram one on hoppers and switch the other two to small mice, or even over to rats if you wanted.
Re: Feeder Size Question?
Thanks. I just measured the 2 biggest ones and the 128g female is 22" and the 108g male is 20". Ill get some small adult mice for the 2 bigger ones and see how that goes. The runt will stay with hoppers till she gets bigger.

Ill switch to rats once i get my supply from Rodent Pro. That order ships out next week and has hopper and adult mice, rat pups, weined, and smalls ordered. I dont have a close enough local rat breeder to get live ones so ill do live mice for a bit to get there motor skills down properly. The smallest snake has trouble striking and finding the head yet. Shes only eaten twice so far, once for the breeder on 7/23 and once for me on 8/16. Hopefully she stays eating now. Im gonna feed again on saturday so we'll see.

I agree!
Re: Feeder Size Question?
Thanks everyone. Ill move the bigger 2 up to small adult mice and keep the little girl on hoppers for a few more weeks.
Re: Feeder Size Question?
Do whatever works for you and your snakes. I was just suggesting if you ever plan on switching, it is easier when they are younger. Make sure they eat at least a good five times for you before you make the switch though, then skip one week and offer an appropriate sized rat, I find that the easiest way.
