    Why does she do this?
In her tank she has a log looking hide, made of plastic. Thats her hide on the cool side, and iv noticed the past few days she always has her head and cpl inches of her neck sticking out, in "S" shape. Is she looking for food or waiting for a mouse to come along and strike??

It's a good sign. She's comfortable, and yes, she's lying in wait for prey. They are opportunistic hunters. She isn't necessarily hungry, but she is ready to eat, and will if food happens along.
