Advice needed on a temporary enclosure for a baby ball
I am planning on having a custom enclosure built out of Acryllic (for better humidity control) from a friend who does custom computer cases. But I wanted to have something to house a baby BP for about 6-8 weeks. I was looking at two enclosures and wanted to tap into the community for feedback/recomendations.

I will be setting up a temperature gradient environment with 2 hides. I plan to use an "Under Tank Heater", but I've been looking into the heat tape. Will this be a better option?

Thanks in advance!
Re: Advice needed on a temporary enclosure for a baby ball
if its temporary, just get a sterlite tub big enough for the little guy, if its a baby all he needs is a 6 qt, they cost a dollar. well your using 2 hides so i guess you might want to go a little bigger, 15 qt or something. my ball pythons are kept in sterlite tubs their whole lives and do great.
and just about any uth will work, flexwatt being the cheapest, just needs to be regulated.

Thanks for the perspective and advice. The only thing that worried me about getting something too small and inexpensive is that the humidity and temps would not be up to par which would not promote good health for a baby Ball.

You an use the flexwatt on a tub, and you will have less probs with humudity using a tub verses the other options you mentioned

With a sterilite tub, humidity will be even easier to keep up than an acrylic cage.

Thanks llovelace and mainbutter, I will look into a temp setup using a tub. I appreciate the comments and advice.
