    mites
just noticed today 1 of my groups of mice has mites on them checked the rest snakes were all checked the other day cuase after cleaning cages my 2 newest ball pythons had them.

never had this happen before so not sure what to get going to get some stuff in a lil while is there any certain kind that works good to kill them and keep them from spreading

also anybody know if well know they are the same kind of mites that were on my 2 new babies but weren't on them on first check when taking them out of there cages. but used an old unused mouse cage to hold the snakes while there cages were cleaned. the cage had mice in that same cage from Fridays feeding. any ideas if the mites that are on snakes are they from the mice or do you think mites are from the snakes and just happened to get on the mice. i spray all my babies down monthly with mite off and there cages and everything inside. but never looked hard at the mice. but most of the ones i got are darker color but seen the mites on a 3 week old albino when was checking it out just new something was up when saw 4 or 5 reddish specks thought at first they were fighting marks but they moved. and checked them under a mini 100 power pocket microscope

luckily the 2 ball pythons were all that was in that cage and i do everything to them last

not sure if to use no pest strips for cats and dogs and just lay a couple cut pieces from them on top of the cages in a way so none the mice can get a hold of them and chew on them or if there is some kind of treatment that was safe to use on feeders that wont harm the snake if you let the mice stay a few weeks longer while using feeders from different unaffected groups.
