is there a bad kind of wood?
i am wanting to make a multi layered hide for my ball and i was wondering if there is any kind of wood i should stay away from?

Cedar, it's toxic to them.
Also, any other wood should be fine, however, I would coat any wood in a varnish of some kind. It will keep away any mold and cleaning issues.

If you do clear coat (varnish)the wood it would be best to use a water base product since it is less toxic and has less fumes than oil base products.

there already too many untrue "facts" in the reptile world. I would like to have my facts straight. If I could use pine for doors, I could make alot better caging for less money.
