Anyone Use These tubs for breeding
I am looking to breed ASF's and Mice in the lab tubs. The ones I'm ordering are:
Dimensions: L 10.5" W- 5.25"- H4.5"
I was thinking about putting 1.4 mice and 1.3 asf
Is that OK to do? Someone told me only 1.1 mice and I just think that's too little!
Thanks!!
Re: Anyone Use These tubs for breeding
I use 18x12x6 for my 1.3 asf's
Re: Anyone Use These tubs for breeding
way too small IMO for asfr's and mice ok for 1.2.the smaller the tub the more maintenance.i use lab cages 19x10x7 for 1.4 asfr's and van ness sm. litter pans for 1.5 mice, this means weekly bedding changes and bottle refills.
Re: Anyone Use These tubs for breeding
Has anyone used those cement mixing tubs for their asf rats?
I use the ones that are about 27.5x19.75x6 and house rats but I'm wondering if ASF's would be good in there and how many.
(I worry about chew outs since they're such tenacious chewers)

they make different sizes not sure who you are going to get them from but the places i looked at had different size lab cages for mice and rats and had at least 2 different options for mice or rats in the size of the cages
if i rember right the ones i looked at were almost as wide as they were long but all the mice ones were 5 inches tall and could hold a 1.4 ratio of mice not sure about the ones for rats
