question?
can a bp die if it was eating and accidentally got a some type of bedding ,like any bedding, in its mouth and swallowed it with the mouse/rat?

Re: question?
No
Ball pythons are rarely, if never impacted by substrate. Impaction is only fatal if very severe.

Re: question?
No, rarely does it bother them! Their stomach acid is strong enough to break down bones of rats then I am sure it can break down wood!

Re: question?
I almost came on here and asked the same thing. It was feeding time yesterday and my python got a couple pieces of repti-bark in with a mouse. I didn't wanna reach in there and try to pick them off...:weirdface

Re: question?
Naw, old wives tale, like hold a snake after eating will make it regurge, another old wives tale :P
It did bother me enough to go away from aspen and to using paper towels, but they can easily digest most bedding.

Re: question?
lol i reached into my snakes mouth and started pulling out the aspen that was in there. well the first time i ever fed my snake she ate a pinkie rat and the next day i held her to clean her cage and a day later she regurged so i think its true. never willl i do that again
