    Spider and the Snake !
Thought I would share a few pics of a spider catching a snake.
Took a few quick shots of the event before it was cleared out.

Oh gods. That's...well, impressive catch for a spider, and a little nightmarish for me. I'm a tad phobic of spiders. A lot.

I always tell people at work that I prefer snakes, they have JUST the right ammount of legs. ;)

Where did you find this spider and his prey, btw? That's...some kind of creepy.

After a little bit of a struggle the spider pulled the snake into the web completely.

I would have happily taken that spider's meal from him and let it loose outside.

LOL at everyone saying save the snake.

HECK NO. Props to that little spider for making such a huge catch. That will probably feed him for weeks!

I love ringnecks just as much as the next person, but that's the circle of life and how the foodchain works. :)

way to big of a meal for that spider it must of been starving to go after such large prey. also surprised the snake laid there long enough for the poison to take effect. also I've seen crickets rip those kind of spiders webs to sheds trying to get away the snake must of been sickly

Is that a juvenile black widow? Something about the pointy feet is reminiscent...
    I think it is.
That may go a long way toward explaining how it was able to take out the snake.
