    High Humidity and RIs?
My humidity in my house ad in my BPs tub has been over 80 percent for almost a straight week due to weather. Everymorning I wake up all of the newspaper in his tub is slightly moist. How close am I to running the risk of an RI? Without a dehumidifier readily available I have no options. The humidity is supposed to go down by next week but I dont want my little guy getting sick. P.S. Hes only two months old if that affects anything.

Turn on the AC to clear up the moisture in house or turn on some fans to circulate the air.

Humidity by me in never below 80% as i live off a huge lake and my room stays around 55%

Well the problem is my dad doesnt turn on the AC and leaves all the screen doors and windows open. So my question is how suseptable is he to RI's at this point?

wont harm him for 1-2 weeks at all. Most snakes in shed are exposed to high humidity for week minimum for shedding purpose.

Your fine. Just close the window where the snakes are and turn on a fan.

That was my other question, the fan shouldnt bother him while he sleeps during the day should it? Or should I just point it far away from the tub. I have him in my brothers room, who is off at college, so he wont get disturbed during the day.

Just point the fan in a way that keeps the room lower(40-50%) and inside the tub will be optimal.

Alright, Ive got a fan blowing and the door closed with the windows shut. I changed out his bedding earlier and that keeps it at about 80 until morning. Then it goes above 90 to where my Acu Rite Thermometer cant reed it.

Shredded newspaper for now, I would like to get some Reptibark or another substrate.

Id stay away from bark if your having humidity issues being too high. Add more holes to the tub if needed and switch to aspen or paper towel. That seems to help keep humidity down a bit.
