hey, what do you guys recomend a snake to weigh to start breeding.....

The general rule of thumb is: At least 1500 grams, and three years of age.
Others have gone younger and smaller, but if you choose sooner than three years...I'd stick with the at least 1500gram mark.

Males should be 500 grams or more and at least 6 months old(must be producing sperm plugs). Females should be at least on their second winter and 1500 grams!

I started breeding mine in late January at 1400 grams. She continued to pack on the weight for a couple of months and by the time she was about to lay she was 1500 grams. She was 5 yrs old.
The finally laid her eggs June 12, 2010 (day after my daughters bday). And I did pip assist yesterday on day 58.

With the weight mark of 1500grams, I like to give females atleast 500grams per foot of snake. So if she is longer, she should be heavier and thicker. For males, any animal that has produced sperm plugs can breed and will breed but its safer to wait til 500g+
