Picked up my underfed bp on June 27th. Weighed 360g and is a 2007 snake. Previous owner only fed 1 adult mouse per week. Very sad.

Just taken today (Aug 8) and weighing 600g. Hes eating 60-80g rats each week. Im proud that im getting him to a healthy size. Hard to tell in the picture but he is huge now compared to when i first got him. His neck right now looks as big as his mid section did when i first got him. Lol. I think he has even grown a couple inches too.

Everyone can comment away if youd like. Im really looking forward to seeing him at 900+g in a few months.

Nice growth - he's actually bordering on chunky, LOL. ;) Hard to believe he was that thin, even on one adult mouse weekly... I have a few snakes who only eat 1-2 mice per week (picky BPs), and they're still at a healthy size. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even get that, maybe one mouse per MONTH from what I see. At least he's in good hands now!

Yeah i wonder about how often he was fed too. When i brought him home he didnt need anytime to adjust to his new home. He ate the very next day. And has been eating great since then. The previous owner said she tried feeding him f/t mice and he wouldnt take them. 2 weeks into having him i got a f/t rat and warmed it up in water and he took it with no hesitation and been eating rats since then. Im really happy with him.

Good for you for giving him the chance he needed.

Poor little thing. I have one like that. When we got him, he was 8 months old and barely 100 grams. His owners give him one pinky mouse a week. Yes, I said pinky.

He moved rapidly to adult mice and then small rats. We've had him for around 6 months. Now he takes his small/medium rat every week like clockwork and is pushing 700 grams. :D
