    day 46...spots on eggs? HELP
alright so i'm FREAKING out here, HELP!

i checked on the eggs last night and noticed a streak of almost blue-looking on one of the shells. i put a flashlight on top to candle, and notice that it's making the egg a lot more transparent. today i checked and noticed more spots, so i picked up the eggs and this is what i see:

they're being incubated in a hovabator, at 88 degrees, +/-1. they're in a shoebox with a lid. the eggs are suspended above the water and perlite by light crate. the eggs are not IN the water, but when i took them out for these pictures i ran my hand over the light crate and it felt a bit wet. i'm assuming the moisture is what is causing these "windows" on the eggs? is it possible that the water is trying to evaporate upwards, but is instead just hitting the dead space underneath the eggs, and creating "dew drops" on them?

luckily (for my nerves) i candled all 6, and there's movement in all of them. the clump of 5 eggs has the windowing, but the single egg that was laid separately does not.

at day 46, is this something to be concerned about? i have dried off the light crate with a piece of paper towel. anything else i should do?

    thanks!

Condensation dripping down on the egg, eggs getting wet, add another grate to the sunbstrat to raise up the eggs

the weird part is there isn't any condensation on the lid, only on the sides of the egg box, and the eggs are about an inch away from either side. i will add another grate. i don't want to disturb the eggs to much though, i probably shouldn't open the incubator again today. what do you think?

The spots will eventually dry, and you are so close to hatching I wouldn't worry

Those spots will eventually mold in my experiences.
Mold has been known, more often than not, to kill babies in eggs.
At day 46, you're so close that it's a race to the finish really.
I think you'll beat the mold to the finish line though.
    Keep your fingers crossed.
    Good luck.

It happened to my clutch early, I went subsrtaitless, dusted the effected eggs with tinactin, problem solved :), but like I said before Katia is so close to hatch date, she shouldn't have any problems
