What will these Morphs be worth
In your best estimate, what will these snakes be worth 3 years from now?
try to give male and female and pair prices (if you have the time)
1.1 Super Pastel Double Het (Ghost Clown)
1.1 Pastel Double Het (Ghost Clown)
1.1 Double Het (Ghost Clown)

There is no way to know.. Period
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
ok, then what do you think they are worth this year?
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
yep- thats the only right answer. but i think u must be really lucky to even find these morphs- d.h. in combo with a co dom are really rare today- and i bet then too.
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
I am planning on producing these and I am trying to figure out if I sell half of the babies, whether its a worth while investment.
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
my best advise is- buy a super pastel ghost (cost a bit- probably more than 1k) and a clown- and breed em.
then (with much luck)u could have breedable pastel d.h. ghost clown in three years.
but the odds to really hit on the super pastel ghost clown, are really hard.
1 out of 64 would be a super pastel candied clown (when u breed pastel d.h. x pastel d.h.)
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
I am planning on breeding 1.0 Pastel Clown to 0.5 Pastel Orange Ghost
a pair of Super Pastel double hets, would yield 1 in 16 super pastel ghost clown.
The reason I am looking for numbers is I have a family member that is thinking of making it 0.10 POGs and 2.0 Pastel clown, but they need to see an estimate of the money that could be made, I plan on keeping 1/2 of the babies.
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
Selling double hets is a tricky thing. You're going to need a good reputation..Because something like a super pastel DH Clown Ghost wont be cheap..and people aren't willing to lay that kind of money down on a DH or 1:16 shot with someone they haven't done business with many times in the past,,
Re: What will these Morphs be worth
I see what you are saying, and I would sell a little below market for that reason. but if selling half of the babies from 5 clutches is only going to yield $4000, thats not really worth the initial investment + cost of heating and feeding. but if $20,000 is doable from a new breeder from half of 10 clutches, then its well worth it. that's what I am trying to figure out.

Figure 60% of the females will breed lay and hatch every year so 0.5 mean on average 3 of them are going to lay.. now an average of 6 eggs per female means 18 eggs with on average 4 being super pastel DH (remember those are still 1:4) the rest will be normal DH's and Pastel DH's.. So 4 super pastel's DH and say you get 2.2 I wouldn't be willing to pay more than 1200.00 for a male and 1500.00 right now for a female.. Cause for about that I can buy a clown female today or in three years a Pastel Clown or a Killer clown.. so if you sold everything.. Not including overhead you'd be lucky if you got perfect odds to clear 15000.00 .. But remember you might beat the odds..
would it be a cool long term project..sure.. Could you make that 20K just breeding 1.5 clowns together sure.. 5 clown females = 30 eggs all are clowns even at low ball in the crapper prices of 750.00-1000.00 for poor quality crap clowns that 22,500.00 and you don't have to worry about odds. ;)
