    Breeding time frame
How long after a female lays eggs and has been fed properly (not overfeeding either) can you safely breed again with the female?

    The following year.

Ball Pythons only lay eggs once a year, unlike corn snakes which can double clutch (lay one clutch, then another about 2-3 months later, sometimes without re-breeding).

You will have to wait until November to restart the breeding process, which takes months before producing clutches sometime between april and july.

Sorry to get technical but is it a year following the laying of eggs or a year after first pairing. For example, I started pairing in Feb and my female laid in July. So should I pair in Feb 2011 or wait until November of 2011?

What really matters is how much weight she is able to gain back and if she is healthy. Its ok to wait an extra year for them to gain back their weight. But if yours is healthy and weighs enough, there shouldnt be any problems pairing november.

once she gets back up to par....she should be good to breed again.

i've had females lay three years in a row with no problems giving me good size eggs year after year.
