    Emperor Scorpion questions
I'm thinking of getting an Emperor Scorpion but as I went through various articles I have questions that I hope can be answered here.
    1) do I need a heat pad for the bottom 1/2 to a 1/3 of the tank or will a heat lamp above that area be suffice
    2) Do I need to use soil for the substrate or can I use other materials and what do you recommend?
Thanks for all the upcoming info!!

    Re: Emperor Scorpion questions
Heat from above is fine to get the desired temps, just keep an eye on your humidity. I always used a heat mat on the back of my tanks personally. Heat from the bottom of the tank is not really good as they will dig in the substrate to burrow to try and cool off if they get to hot only to find it hotter if you know what I mean. I always used a DEEP amount of bed-a-beast as substrate and that worked great for me.
