No, they are selling it as a Normal 09' male...Im thinking it Might be a black pastel but the dorsal area dosent completely match that of a black pastel...

He's 340 grams, and I've read that they lighten up as they get older....So, I'm KINDA leaning towards black pastel only by his coloration and patterns....Im not to positive though...

Fairly sure its just a normal that first shot looks like a Normal taken in poor lighting with maybe a camera phone.

Looks like a normal to me. A dark normal, but a normal. Do you know the story behind him? If he's being sold as a normal, then that is usually what he is. I'm pretty sure the owner would know if he paid for a black pastel, or produced a black pastel.
Patterns of normals vary greatly, and many of them can closely resemble the other morphs. However, this does not mean they carry the gene. The only way to know for sure is to breed him. If he produces a super with another black pastel, or a pewter with a pastel, then he is.

Yeah, Ive been looking at more pictures of Balck Pastels and he dosen't look like them excatly, Close, but no cigar..lol.
It's the dorsal area that's making me believe it's a normal...the black pastels have broken stripes or spots, this guy dosent....
Owhell, I thought he was somethin else...
