    Uth=100?
    i was reading some post and thought i should move my thermo to the glass. and whaen i did it hit 100, but when i had it in the middle of the sub. it read like 85. i have no dim. hooked to it. it is just pluged in... can 100. burn them? do i need a thermostat?

    Yes, that can burn your snake, and you most defiantly need a thermostat!

    You really do need a thermostat or at least a dimmer switch to control that UTH. Your body temperature is not a reliable way to tell if that UTH is too hot.

    Your body temperature is not the same as your skin temperature, which is why you don't burn your snakes by touching them.
