    How much to feed?
    Hello!

In the house we have 2 ball pythons, young'n and an older snake.

My question concerns the older snake and I guess my baby.

We adopted him a couple months ago, he is 38 inches long now.
When we first got him he was underweight because they were only feeding him one small mouse every 10 days. I bumped it up to two live adult mice. And now he is looking gooood.

No live rats here, but he greedily accepted a f/t small rat on the first try a couple weeks ago!

How much should he be eating every 7 days? 1 small rat, or two? I don't think he would be able to get down a medium as it already takes him quite a while to get down the small rats, but maybe he could.

As for the baby, he didn't eat for 2 months but now is eating on a very good schedule. He has shed and is now 17-18 inches long and looking very healthy. He is getting one small mouse every 4-5 days, usually day 5, poops after about 3-4 days. Is one mouse fine, or should he be on two?

    Thanks for the help!

I feed all 8 of my female BP's ONE small (60-75g) F/T rat every 7 days.....even my 3500g female gets that and that is what she's been eating her whole life (see pic below). They are all nice and healthy and best of all, they all eat every week!
