Couple Repticon Houston Pics - brand new Ball Combo
Went to the Repticon show in Pasadena, TX (near Houston) Saturday. Kind of a small show but a few interesting things there. None more so than this. This is a brand new combo and one of only 3 in existence. I was in a hurry so I didn't get the breeder's name. He attends the ETHS show in Houston as well so if anybody knows him, let me know so I can give him credit. He's an older guy with a gray beard and usually has a lot of orange ghosts and lessers at his table. Okay, enough babbling. Here it is, the Splatter Blast. This was from breeding a Lemon Blast to a wild caught female that appeared to be normal. He got this one last year and two more this year:

And a Jaguar Carpet at another table:

yeah i heard about the spatterblast before. the "normal" should be an aberrant patterned normal female.

did he breed it to other morphs as well?

So somehow a Pastel Pinstripe bred to this female produced an offspring similar to a Champagne or Super Cinny/Black Pastel.

Possible hets, perhaps, or simply the strange interaction of genes. Quite Amazing, really, hopefully it is bred to a normal so as to see all the genes actually in it.

Thanks. It definitely will be interesting to see if it has all three genes. I'm guessing it has pastel because I've never heard of a pinstripe reacting this weird when combined with another gene but then again, the mojave was pretty predictable until it was combined with a mystic so who knows. It's definitely a two gene animal but might be a three gene. It was mighty tempting to pull out the credit card despite the steep price. Getting in on a brand new morph isn't an opportunity that comes around every day.
