problems eating

Every now and then my snake will start eating his meal from the tail end first and struggles but eventually gets it down. His last meal took him about an hour to get it down.

When this happens It makes me want to grab the mouse and put the head end at his mouth so he can eat it the right way.

Has anyone attempted this?

No. Sometimes they eat them backwards, frontwards, and sometimes even sideways, which is a little odd. Mine always figure out a way without my help.
