Firefly and Super pastel; are they similar in appearance?
    Hi,

I've been keeping 2 ballpythons for 2 years... two weeks ago I hatched 3 superpastels... that is the first time I saw superpastel in real life... So I've been thinking to have firefly in my future project...

So I've been googling bp photo and youtube for firefly... to me they look the same... is it? I've never seen a firefly in person... If they look the same, isn't that better to have super pastel rather than firefly?

Can someone tell me the different between the two?

    Thanks

I held a firefly recently and I have to say they look very little alike in person.
I have no comparison pics to help but they are quite a lot different in appearance.

can you describe a bit... which one do you prefer? I held a juvenile superpastel recently and decided not selling any of my 3 baby supers.. I'm hooked..

Atleast from what i remember from the show back in october of last year. super pastels they have extreme blushing, so they look alot lighter colored, alot of white. thing i noticed about the fireflys are they jump out at your across the room, very vibrant colors.

i only saw babies, so I don't know how they look in person once they start to age. but atleast from the babies, i prefer firefly hands down

Fire tightens up the lines and makes the pastel look super defined.
It also is a different hue of yellow.
I wish I had side by side shots, you'd be amazed at the difference.
The male firefly I held was about 500+ grams and vibrant colors is almost an understatement, a gorgeous animal.

I find fireflies have more contrast, but they do both look great with vibrant yellows, and even hatchling fireflies seem to have pretty good head blushing.
