Introducing my ball pythons!

These are four of the five I have at home right now. =) Today our last two girls will be coming home. I'll post pictures of them later.

We have two females that look a lot alike, only 200gram difference in weight. This is one of them. =)

What is the female in pic 2 ?

She's another VPI het axanthic, or at least that is what I was told. I like that she has blushing. She doesn't bite and is a very active feeder. I'm hoping to get her up to breeding weight before this fall, 1270 grams right now. I think we'll make it! :D

Well our friend had just gotten these snakes out of a bad situation, when someone called her landlord and said "OMG that woman has multiple large snakes!"
Enter me and my new hobby, ball pythons. The females are in really great shape despite the ordeal, none of the snakes had eaten in 8 months. The male however is a dinky 90 grams and was refusing food, I think he's about 3 yrs old from what I've been told. So we force fed pinkies to him for two weeks. We didn't want to risk injuring him by force feeding a larger mouse or rat. Either way it must have done the trick and improved his appetite. Last night we assist fed one hopper, then he took down the next three hoppers with scaled vengeance! No help required. Needless to say I'm very proud of him. It only took the two weeks we've had him and the week my friend had him before he was eating on his own.
I think he likes his new tub and hide, I know I like him. (I always cheer for the underdog.)

I also really like #2, I call her and her look alike the twins. I haven't found a spot or area that makes them really distinct to me yet, but I need to find it soon. Them being the same size, and of the same temperament doesn't make it easy. It would figure that the two that look alike act alike, granted Snippy and Peaches look nothing alike but have the same attitude (the track your hand, Peaches might bite, Snippy does bite!) I guess if I labeled their tubs I wouldn't have to guess who is who.
