What does it take for you to thank somone?

I've always wanted to ask this, when you read a post what in the post do you look for to thank them? For me I like people who show they are interested in your problem and able to post back and forth to talk about it.

What does it take for you to thank somone?

When i am going to write something but they write it first so instead of writing it over i agree with them then thank them for making my job easier :cool:

I thank people for being truly helpful and knowledgeable, really being interested in your problems, and for giving good information in a timely fashion.

Sometimes I hit "thanks" when I'm laughing too hard to type "lol".

I post thanks when I appreciate a comment.

Sometimes it is for as little as posting a good picture. This could be related to a problem someone is having, to just a simple, "this is what a Fire Ball looks like".

... I usually thank someone when they say something that I would like to thank them for saying... Like something that I didnt know, and it helped me, or something that I strongly agree with...

I think thats how most people go about it.

I usually say thanks when I'm feeling thankful towards the poster. :rolleyes:

a better question would be - what does it take for someone to get some + rep?? LOL

to get thanks from me:
1: make me laugh
2: say something i would have said
3: make a good suggestion that i wouldn't have thought of
4: say something honest
5: try to bring the posters back on topic
