    HYPO Gene...Quick Question..
I am thinking about doing a Spider X Hypo pair but was wondering if I'd be able to get Hypo Spiders 1st breeding, assuming the odd gods are in a good mood..lol.

**Actually, the Spider would have to be het for hypo/ghost as well to possibly make honeybees the first breeding**

Brain fart....Being bored and sitting at work sucks, and causes memory loss..lol..:rolleye2:

Is this right?...I think I'm gonna do a shot of that 5hr energy crap...haha.

    Thanks.

Yes, if the spider is het hypo you have a 25% chance of a Honeybee :) or 12.5% if you use a spider het ghost and a het ghost pair. Good luck!

Sweet, yeah I have a male spider now and 3 normal females I'm gonna be breeding for my 1st time but the honeybees are SICK looking!!!...Now the hunt for a sub/adult hypo or het hypo begins...I guess I'll have to wait another year or so to produce them...

    Thank you.

A het hypo wouldn't do you much good since your spider isnt a het.
I'd pick up the largest ghost or pastel ghost you could afford.
A POG female would be a hot breed for your boy.

    POG, Pastel Orange Ghost?

I think your right now that I look at the potential offspring...

    POG X Spider

    - Bees
    -Honeybees
    -Spiders
    -Pastels
    -????

And they'd be HET ghost as far as the non visual ghost carriers right?

I think you gave me some good ideas..lol...Either a ghost or POG is what I'm gonna be looing for now..lol.

I'm alittle confused on the orange ghost/ghost terms. The orange ghost, is that just a line? Like VPI/SK ect? And I'm pretty sure I'm right but all Hypo/Ghosts are compatable and produce the same outcome when paired up with the same partners?..Like Spider x Ghost, the same outcome will/should come out if I were to use a Hypo..right?

I remember reading that they are the same just used more so as a preferance name...

I just want to use the spider gene in making some morphs cause I love the spider pattern and especially that mine has NO Noticable or a very VERY slight wobble that I havn't noticed. He does do the dance/cork screw thing but not often...

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. That why I love this site.

Orange Ghost is NERD's line of Hypo...Not all Hypos are compatible...Also watch out for WC/CH Hypos, they may not be compatible with established lines.

To make Hypos both parents must carry the Hypo gene...

Pastel Hypo x Spider will produce:

    Normals
    Pastels
    Spiders
    Bumble Bees

They will all be 100% Het Hypo.

Yeah, forgot that part of all being Het Hypo..lol...So I guess stay with one line of hypo if I end up going spider het hypo to hypo right?..Just to make sure I do not end up with non compatable lines?

Isn't the Humblebee supposed to be a possibility also? **Nevermind, only if the spider is HET HYPO**

    Cool, thanks for that info.
