    Awkward Feeding Night
It was a funny/frustrating feeding night tonight :chew:
One of those nights you kinda wish you had a camera.

First, my baby cinnamon was a little over enthusiastic. She constricted a little too hard and exploded the mouse she was trying to eat. Not pretty, but she ate it.

Second, my male pied was very enthusiastic as well (which is not normal for him). He struck hard, missed, hit and tried to constrict the hemostats. He must have been embarrassed because then he refused to eat and hid. It took me a little while to finally get him to take the mouse.

Third, I wasn't going to feed my baby clown because I thought he was in the middle of shedding. I opened his drawer to peek in and was surprised to see him out and waiting for his food. When I offered him the mouse, he missed. He still tried to constrict and ended up thrashing around for a while. He bit himself, then got scared when his tooth got stuck on his scales. Finally he got himself untangled and took his mouse too.

The good news is, the new female Mojave took a f/t mouse no problem. And she was out looking for more, so I'm going to try rats next.

Anyone else have any funny feeding stories?

lol, thats awful. I love when they get all pouty over a missed feeding or something and hide in their homes.

My black pastel managed to wrap is mouse up in paper towel once, and my bee has bitten himself. Gotta love energetic feeders.

Wow you did have quite the feeding day....lol.

I have one that refuses to let go of it as she is swallowing it. Literally holds onto it until the tail is in.

I have a 6ft redtail that I feed frozen thawed now because he started to get really picky with live. One time I was tease feeding him and he showed interest for a few minutes and then all of sudden he just slowely opended his mouth and started swallowing the rat. Guess he was feeling a little on the lazy side and skipped the part where he is supposed to strike. Ha
