Snake rack 101

I am think of making a snake rack and just wondered what's the best way to heat it and the best material to make it out of?

melamine is the best material to use for racks

I built mine outta melamine. It works really nice and didn't cost a whole lot but the one thing I hate is how heavy it is. The thing weighs a million pounds! I decided that my next rack I'm gunna get is from boaphile.
