Woma Pythons

So I am currently keeping a virtual zoo @ my house and have gotten the idea that I want to add something to that. I have been thinking about carpets or womas for a while and the rarity of womas, and their sheer beauty, and mellow temperment... Seems like something I would be interested in. I am looking for a place to get a good pair or trio in the next 6 months or so. Any additional information would be handy as well.

I've only met a few Womas, one of whom belongs to Skiploader here on the forums... "Hank" was really sweet and mellow, much like the three Antaresia (Stimsoni and Maculosas) I got from him. You might want to ask him for more info, but I think they're pretty darned cool. :gj:

P.S. My roommate's father actually lives in Clovis, NM... weird coincidence! :D

Shaun @ ExoticsByNature has two female Woma Python's for sale, and they're beautiful as well as really healthy animals. I would purchase from him if it were me. I know him locally.

I personally seem to be a toothbrush for many carpet pythons. There's never been a carpet python that didn't like the taste of my blood. Just my experience.

Womas on the other hand are great snakes. Can be very calm and easy to handle. Again, this is just my experience.

LMAO. :D My carpet (JCP) is really mellow and never bites, but he has been known to strike at the tub... usually when I catch him by surprise, or when he can smell it's feeding time. We're talking open-mouthed strikes too, so I'm sure that would hurt from a full-grown carpet!

My male Woma is by far my most aggressive snake, he will bite every single time without fail. He does that thing rosy boas do, where they stop and look at your hand like it's the most delicious thing they've ever seen... then he bites it... On the other hand, my female is a complete sweetheart. When it comes down to it, every animal will have it's own personality.
