Candling Morphs Pics/Video
Could you guys post pics or video of candling morphs? I know not all morphs are obvious when candling. I've seen candled pics of spiders but I'd like to see pics of other eggs that were holding morph babies so we know what to look for when candling eggs that could potentially be holding morph babies. How successful have you been at guessing what you clutch holds after candling?
Re: Candling Morphs Pics/Video
Last year I was 100% on guessing the Albinos in the eggs.
Re: Candling Morphs Pics/Video
Interesting. At what day can you start to differentiate?
Re: Candling Morphs Pics/Video
Color is one of the last things to develop as snakes are growing in the egg.. Maybe Patrick would be able to chime in again and answer your Q from his own experience, but just my limited knowledge of the development cycle of snake babies I'd guess day 40 or so would be the earliest.
Re: Candling Morphs Pics/Video
I was in the 30's and could EASILY tell albino from none.

Well that's easy to do with an albino x albino clutch :P

Are you talking about the browns/yellows/etc or are you suggesting that pattern as well develops late? Because I have seen younger dead snakes (removed from the egg) that look axanthic and just havent started forming their colors, but the pattern was there and the darks were dark. Considering that albinos switch whites for darks and that white will allow more light to pass through I would think they would be one of the easiest early snakes to guess at (along with lucys).

Re: Candling Morphs Pics/Video
Color is tricky because it really only comes in completely in the last couple of days. Pattern is clearly visable for me around the 35 day mark. Good luck :gj:
Not much color at day ~52

Out of the egg a few days later with color.
