    newborn ball question.
    how long does it usually take for a hatchling to shed?
    and is it okay to feed before they shed?

    I would say anywhere from 7-14 days commonly around day ten for me. I would wait until the first shed for a feeding attempt. Usually the liquid that the neonate pipped will keep them full till that point and trying to feed them something they have never seen before while having a full belly might produce a negative feeding response.

    I agree. Typically they shed at around day 10 for me too, and I offer food after that.
