Came come and notice a bad smell. Smell like burnt wood. Mostly upset so please bear with me. I had a business trip for 3 days and left my aunt to watch over house and my daughter. I express to her please don’t touch my ranco and u don’t have to feed, water or do anything to snakes, PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE. Look inside my rack and notice my male albino “OSIRIS” 850 grams my besttttttt looking pastel female “YEMAYA” 1123 grams my het albino female “OSHUN” proven* 1892 grams and normal female “OYA” 2153 grams DEAD! FREAKING aunt wanted to purify the house by burning bundles of "SAGE" IN MY HOUSE NOT HER HOUSE BUT MY HOUSE BECAUSE ONE OF MY SNAKES TOOK A CRAP. I really think it was the sage because I check temp and they were good and my other 10 snakes in the back room were all alive! All of the dead snakes were belly up dead! My albino was dead in the shed literally. My daughter and I buried them yesterday. I’m so pisssssssssss not because the money I lost..... But my snakes are gone!!! Didn’t know how much they meant to me till now. my aunt cried when she found out they were dead and I felt her hurt... so it was no need 4 me to pull out the colt 45.DO YOU THINK BURNING SAGE HAS AN EFFECT ON SNAKES?: R.I.P

Sage hasnt ever hurt anything in my house. I don't know. Very sorry to hear of your loss though, it's never easy.

FYI, "Smudging" (the act of cleansing a living space by burning sage and allowing the smoke to 'permeate' ), REQUIRES you to open every window and door to allow the smoke to take with it the bad vibes.
Your aunt is clearly an ignoramus.
Tell her to do some research online or to pick up a book next time.
Bad karma is coming her way in spades.

I'm so sorry to hear about your snakes. I won't light candles, smoke, or even burn in-scents in my house because I fear it will do something to them.

Sure is was just sage? I think ceder is sometimes used in smudging also and we all know what ceder can do to snakes.
