Baby feeding Question

Im no where near ready to breed yet. But i can learn everything i can so that when im ready im good to go.

Alrigh the question is for all the hobby breeders here im really only going to have one or two breeding pairs. My question is for the amount of babies that i could possibly have were do you find enough hoppers to feed them? My local pet shop breeds mice but numerous times they dont have reallly small hoppers. This is the only mouse breeder in roughly 100mile radious. That i know of. (I live in worthington PA if you knwo of any near there)

Can babies take frozen thawed? Everything ive been reading is to get a feeding response live is usually the way to go.

I really hope to get into breeding snakes in the future just for myself. Nothing big. And I used to breed gerbils and i remember how they stunk... i know how mice will stink and ijust dont want to deal with that if at all possible.

Any options suggestions would be great. Sorry if i put this post in the wrong spot.

I think most people use thawed rats/mice for their hatchlings. There's always the old tried and tested techniques for getting a good feeding response - warm them up, brain them, wiggle them about etc!

All our hatchlings take frozen/thawed right out of the egg. We've never needed to go live as of yet, and don't plan to unless necessary.

Do they continue to take the F/T into adult hood without issues as well? I would imagine so. And thank you for taking the time to reply :)

Most of us will have a small breeding colony of rats or mice to have the appropriate sized feeders on hand for hatchlings. You could easily set up some mice in a 10 gallon tank.

I feed all my BPs on frozen/thawed from hatchling to adult. I prefer not to live feed.

Yeah I want to get away from live feeding as well. Its much safer and easier on me to open the freezer thaw and serve then drive 20minutes get amouse drive 20 minutes so on so forth haha. Next step is to switch my male over to F/T. I dont think he will give me to much trouble eats like a king.
