I just use a bleach spray. Wipe it down. Let dry. I wipe the bleach out now after someone told me it could be "reactivated" once it becomes wet again. Some say put it in the sun, as the UV's will destroy it. Idk about solutions. I use newspaper, and change it every time, so it doesn't require an extremely thorough cleaning. Maybe try the search function?

I use bleach spray occasionally, if I am in a hurry. I have never had a problem with it being "reactivated" so I would say your most likely safe.
Most of the time I use real bleach mixed half and half with water in a bucket, then rinse the cage with plain water, and dry. I only use fake trees, plants, hides, etc. and I wash them with plain dish soap. If you happen to use any real wood, you could bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for about an hour, that is the only way to kill bacteria on real wood. You are better off not using real wood though, they hold bacteria, and if you get mites, forget trying to treat it.

I clean every 2 months with maybe an oz or 2 of bleach to 8-10 oz water. I rinse until I don't smell much bleach anymore and let dry. For scrubbing I just use a paper towel for initial wipe-down, a sponge for scrubbing, and if necessary some paper towel to help dry.
This reminds me I'm about due for a cleaning myself.
