laying inverted: can this also mean they are about to lay?
From all I have read, female bps will lay inverted while going into ovulation. Now I was pretty sure my girl has already done her ovulation. She shed and her color has returned to normal from the glow. Since she shed she has been refusing food. over the last 2 weeks her bottom half has been gettingt gradually larger. I figured I missed her ovulation and the last she was the pre lay shed. She has been staying on the warm side and just now I cuaght her inverted. She is swelled up evenly right up to her vent and you can see the outline of eggs. Also when you hold her up the eggs do move downwards to the vent. So does this seem like shes going to lay soon or is she just ovulating unusually big? She never did the inverting thing last time she layed so the inverting is new for me to observe.
Re: laying inverted: can this also mean they are about to lay?
I personally wouldn't take laying inverted as them being gravid, I caught my het pied female last night laying inverted and shes not even been mated and no where near breeding weight so an odd one indeed, I do how ever have two adult females who are laying inverted and they should be due to lay within the next month.
Only time will tell I'm afraid.

I know she is gravid , sahe was paired many times with visible locks, she really glows when shes developing folicles, and she eats like a savage beast , only stopping when shes close to laying. She has not eaten in a month but has gained alot of weight and size and when held up with her tail towards the ground there is an obvious mass that moves towards her vent. So ya she is definately prego. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced them laying inverted right before laying. Also I have been watching her and she is now becoming very restlesss and twisting her body all over the place. So I have an egg box ready in the bator just in case.:please:

I just hopes she sticks with tradition and give me 6 agian. This is her third clutch and she always lays 6. She was bred to my cinny so I hope the odds gods are with me. She also seems to always lay at the end of july. :D
