Switching from cages to rack system
I am getting ready to switch from RBI cages to RBI Rack and was just wondering what you all used in your racks. Should I continue to offer their hides??

I just converted to a rack not too long ago and I used to provide hides for all but now just for some.

Some of my snakes are more shy and I notice feed more regularly when provided with a hide. You kind of have to see how each snake will take to it. Leave them out and see if you have any variance in their feeding schedule, and/or overall behavior.

I use flexwatt belly heat with a ranco thermostat. I had a hard time getting the bottom to heat as good as the top, but now I only have a 2-3 degree difference from top to bottom(rack is seven levels high).

Most of mine dont use hides, but in m opinion it really just depends on the particular personality of each animal

i offer all my animals at least one hide, it gives them added space in their enclosure and for the balls added security. Even my biggest females will still cram themselves in a hide. I don't mind cleaning the extra cage furniture.

first of all congrats...you will wonder why it took you so long. The sheds seem to come out perfect everytime....they are more comfy and for me I feel more secure about the temps. ;)

Currently I am offering 2 hides but that may decrease to one as they continue to get bigger.

If you only offer one hide - what side do you keep it on the warm or cool side??
