One of Em's most basic tasks.
She thought she was in trouble so my voice is high pitched and I had to tug on her collar a bit. During episodes, attacks or general unhappiness, she will do it on her own.

Now that I know what a PSDIT is, what is that behavior used for in her service? Is it to help to calm the person? She's a beautiful girl, and you look like you're a great trainer!
Re: One of Em's most basic tasks.
PSDs/PSDITs are very...'tailored' to their person's needs, and the vast majority of the time are owner trained because of it. This particular behavior, known as a task, is to help ground me and help me calm down. If I'm having an attack I get very detached from reality and she uses deep pressure work (leaning into me, shifting her weight, etc) to keep reminding me where I am and that she's still there for me. :)
And thanks, I've been training dogs since I was 5, and in the shelter I work in/business I specialize with 'problem' dogs and stubborn dogs.
