Spider Male BP Twisting n' Turning
Recnetly my male Spider BP has been twisting n turning in one spot. Kinda like his head is a roller coaster and he does loops and turns. Other then that he is fine. I checked him for mites, mouth\eye issues and he's fine, and have no problem holding him. Actually, when I pick him he stops doing the movement. I heard that the Spider morphs havea genetic issue with twitching in the head. Mine has always done that, especially when he's about to eat. It looks like he is noding his no swinging left\right really fast lol

Has anyone heard of something like this?

The spider "wobble" is actually a pretty well-known thing, and my understanding is that all spiders do it to some degree. My female spider does a corkscrew movement with her head and neck sometimes. Before I bought her, the breeder I got her from told me that she didn't have any wobble, but I think maybe he just didn't notice it, because he kept her in a rack. Now she lives in a glass tank in my bedroom, so I see her come out and corkscrew her head sometimes in the evening, when she is most active. She only does it when she is in an upright position, looking toward the top of the tank. You can't tell at all when she slithers or feeds. Otherwise she seems completely normal, so I have decided not to make a big deal out of it.

Yes, all spider ball pythons do wobble. From what you are describing, it sounds like that is all it is, it is not anything to worry about though. Good luck with your ball python!

my spider only seems to wobble when he's stressed.

when i first got him, he had 1 hide and would corkscrew... i gave him a hide and he stopped... then i didnt have time to feed him so he missed 2 weeks of feed (i was in crunch time.. horrible mean hours :() and i could tell he was hungry bc he corkscrewed... after he was back on schedule, no more mishaps or husbandry faults, he hasn't corkscrewed in his tub anymore... except for another time when he spilled his waterdish, he was in a wet enclosure for a bit and i couldnt clean it til i got home.. when i got home, sure enough, he was corkscrewing :weirdface

this is just my theory... lol..
