    maintaining humidity
:snake:Anybody have any ideas how to keep the humidity up? It's usually at around 50% but my BP is going in to shed so i wanted to boost it to 60-70%. I've been using a spray bottle which elevates it for a few hours but no longer.
He is housed in a glass cage with a wire mesh cover on the top. Thanks

i have heard that if you wrap half of the meshed lid with something like aluminum foil or ceran wrap that helps keep humidity up

Covering about 3/4 of the screen with something like aluminum foil, aluminum tape, plastic wrap, or a piece of plexiglass will help keep the humidity in. Another thing that works is to soak a towel with water, wring it out so that it is wet but not dripping, and lay it across the top. You will probably need to change it out about every 8-12 hours. If it gets the humidity too high, just fold it back a little until the humidity stabilizes where you want it...
