    BP temps.
What do you keep your cool and hot sides at? Mine are reading 91 under the light, 89 in the hot side hide and 81 on the cool side. Its a new setup, and the room temp is usually around 72- 75 degrees. Any feedback is appreciated. Sorry no pics of the BP, Im not going to mess with her until the weekend( I just got her Saturday in Maryland) , but she is active at night! Ahhhh....humidity is at 55. Jumps around 50-60, but I got some foil tape today to help with that.

    Here is the tank:

White light no longer applies, switched to a moon light 50w.

90-92 on the hot side 80-82 on the cool side. When you get that foil it will probably boost your temps a little. If that is the snake between the water bowl and the hide, those hides are huge. Lol. I would definitely downgrade.

Those analog measuring units are really inaccurate. I would trash them and get a good wireless indoor/outdoor thermometer/hygrometer. :)

Yeah the hides are kind of large. I got to find better ones this weekend. I wasnt paying pet store prices and couldn't find much tupperware wise. Tips? I used to buy those black hide boxes that I think Zoo Med made, but they were discontinued : (

Oh And I have a temp gun and ordered my digital hydrometer online(Amazon). Those analog are purely for decoration until I get do somethings to the tank this weekend. Im trying not to disturb the snake until Friday.

I get my Tupperware from walmart :) You can use those, but stuff them with some moss or paper to make them a little tighter. I understand the pet store thing. I have never bought a hide from them. Let me see if I can't find what i use. There is also a great sticky here on hides.

I just found the sticky on here. We got those monstrous hides at Walmart. I will check out walmart again tomorrow on my lunch break.

Oh ok. That's good. Some also use upside down plant saucers. They seem to work really good, but I can't ever remember to pick them up when they are inseason.

Well, I can't seem to find anything on Walmart.com, but I know at our walmart they have some cheap containers that come in a 3 or 4 pack. They are clear, and I just paint them black. They work perfect.

Oh you paint them? My wife said the same thing and I said no. Black Acrylic spray paint? How long do you let dry? Any other treatment needed for the hides?
