Genetics with best breeding response
Hi, just wondering what the general opinion people had about certain morph's ability/desire to breed. There are too many morphs to put into one poll, so I am only going to choose a few from each of the main gene types. Thanks

Didn't think there were any balls with better breeding response?
Re: Genetics with best breeding response
See, I was wondering if anyone was going to put spider. I was told that they thrive in captivity, more so than other morphs.

(John) Holmes Balls were pretty rampant. So much so that he was taken from us far too early. :please:

My spider bred readily his first season, but so did my yellow belly, black pastel het ghost and black pastel.
If anything my yellow belly male is the most aggressive when it comes to his turn :)

Really, they are all ball pythons. Just because they look diffrent dosent mean they are going to breed more.
Re: Genetics with best breeding response
I don't have enough experience to compare morphs, but in my collection the pastel is the stud. I tried breeding him, the mojave, spider and black pastel this year - only the pastel and mojo did their job, and the former is much more proficient! Can't wait to see who fathered the one resulting clutch... ;)
