    Spider Clutch
I hatched out my first morph clutch this year, and I am pretty excited! LOL Pairing was a normal female X spider male. 7 good eggs, and all have now hatched. Wound up with 0.3 normals and 2.2 spiders.

(Please ignore the Ns and Ss on the eggs--I was candling them a week before hatching, trying to see what was in them. On four eggs I was able to make out something, and made my guesses--I was right on all four of them, though! ;))

This last little girl threw me for a loop . . . she looks nothing like her normal mother, or her spider "father". She looks like a spitting image of my het albino male. I suppose it's possible that my female could have retained sperm, but if so, she retained it for two years, as I gave her last year off! :O For selling purposes, she'll be labeled a normal, but I almost wonder if there's a chance she's carrying an albino gene. LOL

Possible Dad? . . . you can decide for yourself. LOL

Nice clutch! Love the spiders!!! I don't think she would hold the sperm for two years! He is probaly just a nice normal. You may try to prove him out if you have a female albino or het!

I doubt I'll try holding her back and proving her out, since space is an issue for me, so she'll be up for sale in a bit, but I'll label her a normal. Would be cool though if whoever buys her breeds her and she does prove out later. LOL

    VERY nice clutch and Odds!!!

Thats the pair I have together right now, along with a pastel....They all look great!!

The last normal does look nice....One thing I've noticed is normals from spider x normal breedings look very nice pattern wise..idk, might just be me..lol.

    Congrats!!!

    Thanks much guys!

Yeah, I really do like the pattern on that last normal girl. The other two normals look pretty typical, but that last one has some unique things going on in her pattern, and since I've bred my het albino male a couple of times, I've seen many of his offspring come out looking similar to that, and that's what made me wonder. I've heard of females retaining sperm, but never for two years! LOL Would be cool if my spider male was indeed the father though--would be awesome if he produced cool-looking normals like that. Time will tell, I suppose . . . hopefully I am going to get to breed my male spider to a virgin female ghost this season, and maybe even a virgin lesser if she gains sufficient weight (and the lesser only if I dont have my butter or if said butter doesn't get big enough), and it would be cool to see a normal het ghost with a cool pattern like that! :D
