    Thermostat issue?
So everyone here says to use a dimmer or a Thermostat for a UTH Control. I have a Rheostat, it sucks at keeping temperatures accurate. So I picked up an actual Honeywell Thermostat. Is this wrong? I'm pretty technical savvy and this does not make sense at all. The thermostats model number is RTH221B, just a cheap thermostat I picked up. None the less, it's a thermostat.

    Help would be appreciated.

Yeah You can't use a house thermostat...You should get a Helix or Herpstat!

eh. Its just challenging because my housemate and I keep the house at a constant 60, and my snake likes to chill on the cold side of his tank which is probably 60 as well..

If you are guessing as to the temp of you cold side you should get a thermometer as well. What is your set-up, temps, and humidity?

The silly thing about this hobby is it cost money :P

A thermostat, some flexwatt heat tape and a tub and a good probed thermometer.
Throw in a hide and a water bowl and your good to go :gj:

When I asked about an inexpensive thermostat, someone linked this one to me. I don't know if it has a probe, but for a new hobbiest the price is right.
