    My Ball Python Escaped!
Ok my friend was handling my juvenile ball pythons and apparently didn't secure one corner of the cage properly and i had to leave so i came home a couple of hours later to walk in and notice something wrong with the the babies cage and sure enough it was gone. I ripped apart my room which doesn't have much for any of my snakes to hide on the floor, under the bed, etc etc. So i started checking the rest of the house moved couches checked under cushion behind the stove, fridge, dishwasher, NO SITE OF IT ANYWHERE. Ive even stayed up all night with all the lights off in the house walking around with a flashlight, doing this about every 10-15 all night till sunrise. NO LUCK YET any tips??

I'm assuming the door wasn't closed to the room it was in? Check ANYTHING that gives off heat. VCR's, TV's, under the fridge, in the radiator, in shoes, anything really. You just gotta look. Chances are he won't come out on his own, they like to hide almost all the time.

Use a human heating pad set on low and put it in a box, or under a box that has no bottom, with a hole for access of course. As well, you could put a frozen thawed rodent in the box, it may draw more attention. Ball pythons usually don't go too far from their homes, so put it around somewhere near the cage. You could also put flour around and see if you see any trails. Look high and low though, they do climb when they get the opportunity, but also look in any boxes, trash cans, ect. I wish you the best of luck, I hope you find your snake!
