BP is about ready to shed...
Alright, well my BPs eyes turned blue and this is his first time he is going to shed with me so what are some tips on getting a good successful shed?
I have a couple of questions to.
What should I keep the humidity at?
Should the temps change?
Should I soak him in water? If so how warm of water?

You should bump up your humidity to 60-70% during a shed and the temps can stay the same. I don't think you're supposed to do any soaking until the snake has shed and it's been a bad shed. I've read that soaking before a shed can actually cause more damage than good. Don't hold ur snake until it's done shedding because it can stress it out.
Read the stickies on the shedding process and the bad shed one in case you do need to soak after the shed.
Re: BP is about ready to shed...
Mine is going through the same thing. The eyes have been cloudy blue since Tuesday. Like stated before me, keep the humidity up and just leave him alone until he's done. If he is due to eat in the next few days before his shed it is still ok to feed him. I personally put a moist hide in his tank just in case he chooses to use it. When I first got him he was in it 75% of the time but in the past few weeks he hasn't been in there at all. One of my other balls was the same way. Even though BP's aren't very active as it is, he will be even less active during this period so just let him be and keep it humid.
Best of luck.

Alright, well I held him a little today but I will leave him alone. Also his hide is gapped a little at the back cause there isn't allot of substrate is that okay? Will heat escape?

Hope it's alright I interject... But I wonder, how do you go about making your humid hides?
Thanks! :)

I haven't made one I just kept the humidity really high in the tank.

I usually use tupper ware containers with the lids on, cut a hole in the side, line the bottom with paper towel and put some moist moss in it. :)
Re: BP is about ready to shed...
I just spray extra water in the tub and bring it up to 70%. One of my new girls that is 3500 grams is shedding now and I couldn't put her in any other tub other then the one she is in.
