thinking about a hognose- some beginner questions

hi guys. ive been breeding only burms and balls all my life. ive had some boa constrictors, but never a colubrid. throw snakebytes i saw the hognose and fall in love instantly. so ill do it like i always did. get some infos and get a good knowledge before i buy the snakes.

so- since we got no good books in germany about this species, i wanna know if u can send me a link to a really good informaticle site where everything about the hognose will be explained.

some generals first. like how big must the enclosure be? what to feed- how often to feed. what morphs are outthere for what prices. what temperature to kepp em? do they a "wintersleep"- sorry just dont know the right word- u know what i mean.
how to breed em? colonies- 1.1- are males under each other friendly or do they fight?
how to incubate the eggs (temps?)

u know all that stuff.

The best I can do is point you at the kingsnake hognose forum and let you load breeders pages from there...We started with them last year and they a joy to work with..They're comical lil outfits and good for much satisfaction..:snake:

ive seen the snakebytes video where they box him and doesnt bite him. then i saw that they a comicer and play dead sometimes...lol

i just have do get my hands on them.


do u guys got monography books about the hognoses? i could order them and a friend from me would bring it to hamm...
