Is anyone using these breeder tubs?
I am using these breeder tubs for mice/rats. I have had them for 3 weeks and I have had 3 adult mice escape already. There is plenty of food/water and even a hide. One of the escapees had actually given birth the night before. All 3 escapees were found sitting on top of the cage eating the food like nothing was wrong. None of the bars were out of place and when I called the manufacturer, he said he had never ever heard of any mice escaping when the lid was properly secured. I am just curious if anyone else has had this problem, thanks. http://www.bigappleherp.com/Big-Appl...FRScnAodmkVTLQ

I have one like it. I do have mice escape but it has a top to it so they only get past the bars. I think mine was mad for rats though.

I've had that issue before with babies squeezing through, but never adults. Maybe you could rig up some sort of cover for it with some 1/4" hardware cloth.

Ok i own lets say 50+ of this size breeders and they are mainly used for rats and asf's in my eyes. they do have a smaller design that works much better with mice and can actually kepp hoppers in the tub
