Feeding day

After adding 5 normal females to my collection this weekend, I had to feed today. Monday is normally feeding day here and happily 3 of the new girls ate too. I figured out that I am now going through 23 mice a week and 4 of the balls didn't eat today. So it looks like I will be going through possibly 30 a week now. I am going to switch the bigger balls over to young rats soon. How many mice/rats do you go through on your feeding days?

I feed rats, I only have one mouse eater in my collection. For my rat feeders, they only get one appropriate sized rat a week. As for my mouse eater, she will eat one a week now, but I will be converting her when she is at a better weight. For adult ball pythons, you would go through a good amount of mice if you don't switch them over to rats.

Yeah my bigger ball pythons will start getting switched over either this month or next. I am breeding rats due to the fact that breeding mice to adult age isn't fast enough for me. I just hope those 8 female rats start the breeding thing fast. :banana:
