My BP ate a mouth full of coconut husks!!!
I was feeding my bp today and he missed and ate a mouthful of coconut husk bedding instead, we had to get him out and get the husks out forcefully :( then I felt so bad I just left the mouse by his hide, now he's just kinda sniffing it, is he gonna be ok??

He will be fine. Don't worry about it. He may not eat this week but don't worry about it. If he doesn't eat just try again next week.

is it the fine cocnut husk? like the ground up powder stuff... I do not recconmend that at all... reptibark is the way to go imo if your going for more natural substrate and do not like the look of paper towles/newspaper.

This is the reason I feed my snakes in a different enclosure with out bedding. The snake should digest it without problems. Just keep an eye on it. I feed my snakes in rubbermaid containers that I get from Walmart. They are cheap and it is easier for me to keep tabs on them while they are eating.

Just put down a paper towel when you are feeding...that is what I used to do when I had that type of substrate. Since then I have switched to paper towels....and I LOVE it!!;)

well if it is the ground up coconut husk like i suspect it is, I presonally think it could possibly get stuck in some places and clog respritory function....
